Review of Land of Memories Campground Review in Mankato, Minnesota
May 2015 – 2 Nights
This is a nice little park with that has 2 loops. 1 of the loops is open and the other is shaded. There is a frisbee golf course and some soccer field areas attached.
Campsites had a lot of space between them. The kids had plenty of room to run around without disturbing the neighbors
The quality of the campsites was good. The site that we were on had a double wide gravel pad to back in on and was surrounded by grass. Each site also had a fire ring and picnic table. Everything seemed well maintained.
I am not aware of any hiking trails at the park.
There is a boat ramp in the park with access to the Minnesota River.
I suppose there is some river fishing if you had a boat. There may also have been some people fishing off the river bank if you walked down to the river.
This was a nice little park to take your family for a short weekend. There was a small play set and the park was small enough to let the kids ride their bikes around with them being too far away. With the campsites being so spread out they had plenty of room to play.
This is a nice little park if you are local and looking for a weekend getaway or need a place to stay for the weekend while in town. We were here for a mountain bike race and it worked out great.
